What’s in Coupland Leather Balm, and Why?

Our recipe is no secret, we’re proud of it. Every batch of Coupland Leather Balm is handmade in Yorkshire using just two all-natural ingredients: 100% Yorkshire-sourced beeswax and cold-pressed olive oil.

The beeswax is gathered from hives across North Yorkshire, sourced through a local artisan who specialises in beeswax products and honey. Beeswax is a time-honoured protector of leather, naturally water-resistant, it forms a breathable barrier that shields against moisture, dirt, and wear. It enhances the leather’s natural lustre, helps prevent cracking, and aids in preserving stitching and edges.

The olive oil is carefully selected for its purity and cold-pressed to retain its full nutrient profile. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, it conditions the leather from within, softening fibres, reducing surface scuffs, and helping to maintain flexibility over time.

Together, these ingredients give Coupland Leather Balm its signature golden hue and its quiet effectiveness. No synthetics. No fillers. Just honest materials, thoughtfully combined to care for your leather, and to honour the hands and landscapes that made them.
